The Idea.

It’s simple: bring Facebook “I Like”, Twitter “Follow Me” and Google “+1″ buttons into real world life.

Imagine: you are in front of an amazing pair of shoes. Those are shoes of your dreams, but are not cheap. You love them, but won’t buy now. So, you run “QuickPin” App and start following this product, than you share with your friends, add notes and tags and “pin” current location. Cool, now you will never forget about this pair of shoes and your friends are starting talking about.
Other people  will see those pair of shoes and QuickPin will inform them about your review and your passion for shoes.

Whats Quickpin About

QuickPin is a Location based Social Mobile Bookmarking platform.
Users add “PINs” to existing “MEMEs” or creates MEME if does not exists.
Memes can contain informations and links about products, people, events, brands, etc..

Pins can be added in real life through phone codes (ex. “+390123917070″), QR-Codes or QPN-Codes (phone number into QR-Code), or manually when you are on-line just clicking on “Pin this Meme”.

What QuickPin Is Not

QuickPin is not another social network.

Where QuickPin Can Be Useful

QuickPin can be used every where, but is particulary useful during exhibitions (avoid tons of paper and catalogues), shopping (create your wish list), travel (create your travel diary or just bookmark places), events (remember and share artworks and peoples).

Where Are We Now?

Technology is ready. The application server and some clients are ready to fly. Most of our hard work (about 2 years) has been published under GPL license (yes, it’s Open Source), but not the QuickPin core.
This means that you can freely explore the kernel of QuickPin Application Server (http://beeingx.svn.sourceforge.net/), but not become a QuickPin competitor just adapting our work.

Communication is work in progress. We are not good in marketing  and communication as we are in writing code. We know our limits and are making partnership with Communication Agency. If you are one and want partecipate to QuickPin launch, please contact us.

Money Is Lacking. We are looking for early business angels for a maximum of 36% of stocks.
